A wounded U.S. soldier is evacuated on the front of a humvee as it races away from an Iraqi police station in central Baghdad, Iraq. The police station came under attack by insurgents using mortars launched from a nearby apartment building. The wounded soldier lost her arm in the attack. May 2004
